Help Establish Worphan in Australia

Building the governance needed for long term support.

Why This Matters

Worphan’s work depends on trust with caregivers, supporters, and the communities involved. To honour that trust over the long term, the organisation must be properly established, governed, and accountable.

In 2026, we are working to formally establish Worphan as a registered charity in Queensland. This process is not symbolic. It is the foundation that allows support to grow responsibly, transparently, and sustainably.

Establishing Worphan in Australia involves building the legal and governance structures required for a serious charitable organisation, including:

  • Formal incorporation and charitable registration

  • Governance frameworks and board oversight

  • Financial controls, reporting, and accountability

  • Policies that protect children, caregivers, and donors

  • Clear separation between personal giving and charitable funds

This work ensures that support can continue long after any one individual is involved.

What is Being Established
Who This Page Is For

This page is intended for people who understand the importance of governance and are willing to contribute time, expertise, or resources to help establish Worphan responsibly.

This may include individuals with experience in governance, law, accounting, compliance, or not-for-profit oversight, as well as those able to assist with early-stage establishment costs or offer considered guidance during the founding phase.

We are not seeking scale or visibility. We are seeking competence, care, and integrity.

A Deliberate Approach

Worphan is being established carefully, not quickly.

The aim is to build something that can be trusted by caregivers overseas, supporters in Australia, and regulators alike.

If you are considering involvement at this level, we ask that you do so thoughtfully.
