Establishing Worphan in Australia

In 2026, Worphan is working to become a formally registered charity in Queensland. This step is about building the governance, accountability and transparency required to support children responsibly and for the long term.

At the centre of this work are the caregivers themselves; people already raising and protecting vulnerable children in their own communities. In the interview below, Lizy and Kudze speak about the work they are doing, the challenges they face, and why long-term, relationship-based support matters.
